1. Planning & Forecasting

  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Align supply chain activities (procurement, production, logistics) with sales targets and financial goals
  • To be overall responsible for the organizations procurement of Raw Materials, Packing Materials, and Capital Items and Traded goods with defined timelines and rates. Must be fully accountable for the negotiations to have the optimal cost and quality. Continuously drive for Sourcing and Vendor development, with maintaining supply relationship.

2. Inventory Control (RM, WIP, FG)

  • Inventory Optimization: Set stock policies to avoid shortages or excess capital tied up in warehousing.
  • Distribution & Freight: Manage transportation logistics, track shipments, and coordinate warehouse and last-mile delivery operations.
  • Analysing, Comparing and negotiating the prices based on factors such as Feed Stock, quality, quantity that can be supplied, payment terms.

3. Risk & Compliance

  • Disruption Management: Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, such as material shortages, port congestion, or severe weather.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations meet international trade standards, safety guidelines, and corporate sustainability metrics
  • Locate and study new potential alternate suppliers for existing products to get a better competitive price, quality and service.
  • Reviewing the status and follow up the process and documentation involved in converting indents in to purchase orders.
  • Vendor / Supplier Assessment for existing and new vendors..
  • Attending Techno-Commercial discussions with Project Managers.
  • Ability to comprehend project requirements, create Bill of Materials, costing of projects and create activity schedule in consultation with the project team.

4.Logistics & Inventory Management

  • Distribution & Freight: Manage transportation logistics, track shipments, and coordinate warehouse and last-mile delivery operations
  • Daily and Regular follow-up for smooth supply chain with Vendors, suppliers and customers
  • Smooth and transparent distribution of documents Purchase Orders and Proforma Invoice.
  • Managing and Attending visits to vendors /suppliers /customers.
  • I have Material management skills & knowledge of creating stock and non-stock item master codes &knowledge of vendor registration process.
  • Plan & ensure the timely delivery of the materials as per Requirement.
  • Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
  • Coordinated with logistics teams for timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Maintaining inventory controls and inventory planning and periodic reviewing of purchase during the month.
  • Responsible for issuing delivery schedules to vendors and interact with suppliers regarding negotiations.
  • Supervise the inspection of all supplies, services and equipment purchased to insure conformance with specifications.
  • Minimum inventory stock level maintaining of critical instruments / equipment’s.
  • Daily Purchase status report preparation of instruments / equipment and copy sending to Vice president / Defence R&D incharge.
