-Make recommendations to the Director of Labor on the issuance of work permits in accordance with Non-Resident Act;
-Perform investigatory functions as necessary for the effective enforcement of the Chapter and regulations of the Labor Act;
-Oversee, monitor and review the recruitment of non-resident workers and make recommendations to the Attorney General as necessary;
-Liaise with members of the Police, Immigration Division, Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Finance and other such Government agencies for the effective implementation and enforcement of the RMI Labor Act(Non-Resident).
-Carry out routine inspections of premises to ensure persons(Non-Resiodent) are not in violation of their work permits;
-Implementation of the Domestic Violence Protection Act & Gender Equality Act
- Assist in Preparing and submit reports on Treaties that were Ratified by the RMI; 1. Convention on the Elimination of all form of Discrimination against women. 2. Convention on the Rights of A Child
-Coordinates with relevant stake holder to create event in observant of the International Days e.g. 16 Days of Activism, International Women's Day, World Day of Prayer
-Respond to Domestic Violence Dispute
-Investigate Domestic Violence Cases reported to the National Police Station
