UDPL was Sole importer and distributor for a Canadian company called Hagen that owns 28 pet related

brands. So the challenge was to procure the goods from their manufacturing units spread out through over 7 countries and manage the distribution and demand pan India throughout the year.

Petlinks was a start-up. So the following tasks had to be performed from commencement and the

build-up had to be carefully maneuvered:

1. Overseas and Domestic Procurement for trade.

2. Domestic procurement of raw materials for manufacturing of pet furniture and toys, especially for young and adult birds, cats and dogs.

3. Sales and Marketing of imported and manufactured goods throughout India. Dealers were nominated

in each state and online trade is also handled through different portals.

4. Both Inventory and Accounts are managed for traded and manufactured goods exclusively.
