Business Analytics Executive Overview
Design and 3D modelling of Harmonic Drive: This project provides an overview of harmonic drives, a high-precision, high-torque gear system. It covers the basic principles, key components (wave generator, flex spline, circular spline), and the advantages (compact size, high efficiency, low backlash) and disadvantages (high cost, limited speed range) of harmonic drives. The project also explores applications in robotics, space exploration, and medical devices, and discusses current research aimed at improving performance and reliability through new materials and manufacturing processes.
FEA of Brake Disc: Conducted a comprehensive Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on four distinct disc brake configurations to evaluate their thermal and structural performance. Created detailed 3D models and applied realistic braking scenarios to simulate thermal responses, stress distributions, and contact behaviors. The study provided insights into factors influencing braking system reliability and identified optimal design parameters for enhanced performance.
Machinery Fault Simulator for Unbalance in Machine Element: Investigated machinery performance and vibration analysis using experimental simulations with MFS. Examined the effects of different loads, speeds, and types of unbalance (static, dynamic, couple) on machinery dynamics. Results highlighted the impact of mass placement and rotation speeds on vibration magnitude, emphasizing the importance of proper balancing and maintenance. The project underscores MFS technology's role in fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance in industrial settings.
