Associate – Managing 6 members team (Fund services –Asset servicing Reconciliation)

Job Function

• Liaising with Onshore counterpart on new client onboarding & analyzing client account opening Fund structure & providing requirement for current process .
• Representing the team for presentation on process overview to US & UK counterparts for new client onboarding.
• Attaining client queries on breaks issues liaising with various custody teams for resolution of breaks
• Engaging with UK/US Onshore team in weekly BAU/monthly KPI calls & discussing the key issues.
• Responding to client queries on BAU process & coordinating with them on issue resolution.
• Representing the team for PwC US SOC1 audit process.
• Managing team of 6 people, provide feedback , yearend appraisal & mentoring.
• Motivating team in achieving the productivity goals & maintaining KPI/KRI green.
• SOX audit by PwC liaising with auditors providing them with required data & to ensure green rating by following laid controls.
• Dashboard for management MIS preparation for comparing key metrics, analyzing productivity data to forecast volumes.

Timeline

2020 – Moved to APAC reconciliation managing Income , COAC , Reclaim team for ANZ clients . I was moved to this team since entire existing team during the covid era was moved due to attrition , biggest challenge was to hire & build a new a team along with managing Daily BAU SLA & a onboarding of large client in APAC on JPM accounting

2018 – Along with reclaim breaks assigned with additional responsibility of managing Corporate action break reconciliation team of 3 FTE investigating COAC breaks for EMEA & WHEM clients

2016 – Tax Reclaim reconciliation , had created a COE wherein managing all the reclaim related tasks under 1 umbrella for 7 accounting regions. major task was to reinvestigate breaks, highlight discrepancy to client service & streamline the break numbers.

2014-16 – LUX Income break reconciliation tasked with resolving breaks & managing the >15 days numbers &

maintaining green rating in client dashboard for entire period.

2011-14 – Went to Bournemouth for process migration for fund accounting pre nav release EMS function , wherein we had to validate all Income related exceptions before the fund NAV is released.

As TM till Team Lead in Global custody trade processing, FX & cash wire processing (Sec-pro WSS)

• Effective processing of trades received via faxes from worldwide and also maintaining the trade deadlines.
• Processing FX Deals associated with trades.
• Managing automated & fax transactions receipt queues for 83 markets.
• Interacting with the counterparts based at Dallas, USA and Bournemouth, UK for daily activities
• Handling a team of 3 people.
• During my stint in custody trades had led my efficiency projects which resulted in FTE save by advising clients to sent
• instructions in correct format.
• Suggesting and implementing corrective measures to ensure quality work with higher accuracy level.
• Imparting training to new hires with effective transfer of knowledge on retirees' services process and procedures used to resolve the error while reconciling funds.

Notable Highlights:

Distinction of being the key member to the pilot Global FAX solution
Successfully maintained less escalation rate within team and from the date joined in this process.
Implemented process improvement measures using applications like Macros in system, which reduced report creation & daily production time by 80%.
Received appreciation mails from: Team Lead / Managers & Donor location.
Promoted as Team Leader in custody trades team.
Gained sound knowledge and understanding of investment securities /equity & Derivatives.
Imparted training on MS Excel.
Went to process migration to Dallas (US) in 2008
