Senior Manager - Quiet Cabin Lead

FCA Engineering India Private Limited, Pune
01.2022 - 12.2023
  • BSR Design requirements review: Conducted design reviews at various design maturity stages to evaluate critical design interfaces, and assess potential risk zones across the vehicle architecture.
  • Spearheaded BSR (Buzz, Squeak, and Rattle) validation for Jeep and Citroën vehicle platforms across all development stages, ensuring robust noise and vibration performance, as per global standards.
  • Executed vehicle-level BSR DVPs, including the identification and analysis of squeak and rattle issues on multiple BSR track profiles, as per Stellantis evaluation criteria.
  • Responsible for root cause analysis (RCA) of all issues observed during vehicle-level validation, alignment with CFTs to identify critical zones, and implement effective countermeasures in line with project milestone targets.
  • Accountable for achieving vehicle-level BSR KPI targets through structured test cycles and rigorous tracking, and regularly presenting technical status in program governance reviews.
  • Collaborated with CAE and simulation teams during virtual validation phases to identify BSR concerns early, and recommended design modifications to mitigate future risks.
  • Directed and executed vehicle BSR aging test validations using a four-poster rig testing at ARAI, ensuring durability and noise performance under accelerated life conditions.

Lead Engineer, NVH & BSR COE

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Pune
08.2012 - 12.2022
  • Responsible for providing technical directions to mitigate NVH/BSR risks at the component, system, and full vehicle levels through a combination of virtual simulation and physical validation, ensuring compliance with vehicle acoustic performance targets.
  • Executed NVH/BSR CAE validation for BIW, Cockpit, Door Assembly, Floor Console, and Tailgate systems, delivering early-stage design guidance to cross-functional COEs.
  • Planned and executed comprehensive CAE validation (DVPs) using advanced simulation techniques (Normal Modes, MTRAN, MFRA, Point Mobilities, and SnRD) to evaluate system-level dynamic behavior under road load excitations, and improve the acoustic performance of interior trim systems.
  • Worked on simulation methodology development for BSR root cause analysis, and provided optimized solutions to design COEs, to consistently meet vehicle and component-level loudness targets.
  • Performed Contact Point Analysis (CPA) to proactively identify critical interface zones prone to squeak and rattle (S&R) issues, and recommended best-in-class design practices to eliminate noise risks early in the development cycle.
  • Managed BSR validation programs at both the system (VPR) and vehicle (DBE) levels, incorporating subjective evaluations and objective testing to ensure durability and comfort performance.
  • Processed RLDA signals to generate Drive Files (time domain and PSD format, 5–200 Hz), used as excitation inputs for component and vehicle testing in validation phases.
  • Delivered full vehicle climatic durability BSR testing at ARAI (4-poster rig), assessing system integrity under environmental and vibration stress profiles.
  • Performed subjective squeak and rattle evaluations at global proving grounds, including Nardò, Italy, benchmarking comfort and noise performance against international standards.
