MMFSL have adopted MFEKA (A project of BITS Suraksha). MFEKA is a structured approach for providing ease of access to all applications centric to business, customer, dealers and its intranet based application. In this competitive environment it is imperative to have robust processes. To cope up with the ever growing number of users and to avoid technical complexities, we have aspired for excellence in our products, services & processes.
Through our own work we have seen the growth in demand for a variety of portal applications. Portals are becoming more and more sophisticated, with complex technical and functional requirements. Even though the tools are available to build simple portals, the issues of integrating them with remote or legacy data sources are not trivial. One such issue is authentication.
In general, a coherent authentication strategy or a solid authentication framework was missing. Over time it had lead to a proliferation of applications, each of which came with their own authentication needs and user repositories. At one time or another, everyone needs to remember multiple usernames and passwords.
More importantly a organization wide assimilation of different IT policy was to be established via a common rule engine.
Akshpatal (Legal Process & Contract Repository)
Jun 2012 – Present
A solution Akshpatal – Legal Document \ Process Repository was developed with assistance from the IT team with a view to standardize the process of case entry and updation in the first phase and addressing the issues faced in contract allocation in the second phase. In first phase, an IT package was developed to enter all the cases filed by and against the company which will act as a base for their updation. This way manual handling of case details in excel was discontinued and the team was given an option to update the case updates (Next date and next stage) in the system itself. The practice of sending the MIS report of the cases in excel was dispensed with and an online report of cases with their updated status is downloaded from the said solution in no time. In phase two, the issues of contract allocation was addressed. 600 branches across india with 170 user are using the system. The solution further automates accounting of receipts for the given contracts and processing the payments of the vendors connected with the activities in these contracts also. This solution will be a self contained and self sufficient tool for Legal team.
By way of this solution, the entry of cases filed is only a one time exercise and their further updation is done through the system only which has prefixed data validations ensuring accuracy of the data entered. In phase two, dependence on more than 600 accountants and follow up with them for contract allocation was discontinued. Contract transfer now happens on the set criteria without any manual intervention with details of the activity done in a report form. The team is in a better position to know their portfolio and also tracking the alterations in the portfolio.
