- Prepare costing sheets for tools, fixtures and spares to differentiate the actual cost and vendors cost.
- Make a project plan sheet and accordingly checking the availability of the press tools, fixtures, drilling jigs from respective departments.
- Co-ordination with product design department, fixture design department, vendors for the completion of project within time limit.
- Selection of best quotes by looking competitive rates, quality, period of manufacturing to achieve the target of customer delivery dates.
- Follow-ups for status of manufacturing. Solve the problems of vendors e.g. Design problems, deviation in mfg., raw material issues, delivery issues etc.
- Inspection of the manufactured tools, fixtures in in-house and prepare inspection reports.
- Conducting Trial of new tools by arranging the raw materials of products and prepare the inspection reports.
- Prepare a sample plan, manufacture a sample, inspection, inspection approval by QC department, send the product to customer for final approval of mass production.
- Attain kick off meetings of new projects.
- Write down minutes of meetings. (required new tools and fixtures modification in existing tools and fixtures etc.)
- Make a reverse plan for press tools, fixtures, drilling jigs manufacturing in house or vendor place.
- Inquiries to the vendors after design receive.
- Prepare a sample plan, manufacture a sample, inspection, inspection approval by QC department, send the product to customer for final approval of mass production.
- After final approval by customer release the new tools, fixtures & drilling jigs for mass production to production department.
- Fulfill the department wise requirements of fixtures, press tools, jigs, spares, gauges, plasma cutting jobs, laser cutting jobs, wire cutting jobs, SPMs which are required for new projects or improvement projects.
