The primary objective of collateral unit is to mitigate counterparty credit risk.

A) Collateral Margining

• Processing more than 100 Initial & Variation Margin Calls within SLA by ensuring data quality checks have been performed.
• Doing first level investigation on all queries raised by clients related to trades, incorrect payments, Initial Margin/Independent amount, discrepancy in CSA terms
• Resolving settlement breaks by investigating & understanding the root cause
• Managing different type of REG & Non-REG Clients (Banks, Hedge Funds, Inter-Affiliates, etc.)

B) IM Dispute Resolution

• Reconciling minimum 10 counterparties IM portfolio on daily basis and based on respective IM Exposures, investigate and analyze reason for initial margin disputes
• Ensure trades are correctly getting collateralized as per respective regulation and trade life cycle event.
• Analyze sensitivity breaks (Delta, Vega & Curvature) as per ISDA best practices.
• Liaise with counterparties and internal teams (Trading Desk, Sales, Quantitative Research, Middle office, Documentation teams, etc.) to ensure faster resolution.
• Reporting of regulatory disputes (NFA, EMIR, FCA, etc.)
• Performing crowd sourcing activity for different asset class (Equity, Credit, Commodities).
• Preparing Daily & Monthly Dispute Analysis report for higher management.

• Reviewing legal agreements such as ISDA, CSA & ACA and meaningfully extracting legal and financial parameters to index them in relevant systems
• Handling Query calls as SME/ QA with client to identify errors issues and co-ordinate with unit managers for prompt/quick resolution on error points within set time-frame parameters to upgrade quality
• Updating SOP in coordination with client as per new updates and circulating it to desired distribution list.
• Performing data quality checks as Auditor.
