Project (Carrentals - Expedia)

• Data Ingestion service: Designed and implemented the cost-effective data ingestion system to import bulk data via AWS lambda, serverless application framework.This service helped in reducing the cost as now no need of server system which are 'always on'
• Error Alerting System: Designed and implemented a Data Consuming and Routing system using AWS Kinesis and FluentD, Where Kinesis would receive a Stream of Data and process it on the go to identify potential errors in the Logs and send out emails using SNS
• Support Extended Response Time of 3rd Party Apps: Since we were dealing with over 300 suppliers, some supplier's response Time would be more than our cutoff Time
• This impacted Reservations, Designed and implemented a feature to enable our system to receive response even after cutoff and Process it Saved around 5% bookings a year
• Cancellation Retry Mechanism: Developed a system where if cancellation failed with the supplier for a specific Connection Problem we would retry after a fixed Interval of time and there will be a fixed number of retries Saves around 7% of Cancellation issues from Customer
• Car Image Retrieval System: Different Suppliers have Different Car images to display in UI, these image Links were provided in the Search Response previouslySupply Operations Team would manually Download and save it a location for displaying in UI Automated the whole process using AWS Lambda to Download Images from links in Search Response and save it to s3 for UI
• System integration, deployment and support for production UAT or QA releases

Project (Carrentals - Expedia)

• MessageGears Migration: Email templates were stored as basic htmls in the previous system, Constructed POC of a sample mail for exploring MG and to Demo to Product Owners.After which Designed an architecture that would reuse the previous system and move the templates to MG for proper Template Management and also Add Analytics to our Mails
• Share Maps in Email: Added a Maps link to directly navigate to Pickup and Drop-off Stations for helping Customers locate the Car station
• Construction of Spring Boot Java APIs which interacts with the Mongo DB
• Creating RESTful Web Services in Spring Boot
